Oyster Stout

The Story

A traditional beer arising from the good old days when oysters were a cheap food, munched on by dockers while swigging down stout. But don’t worry, it doesn’t taste like eating an oyster! The addition of the oyster shells – plus remnants of the meat clinging to them – gives this nitro stout a super-smooth finish and a really soft mouthfeel. There’s a subtle hint of umami too, reminding you of the seaside.

This beer’s a collaboration with our neighbours, Jervis Bay Mussels, who gave us the oysters. It also uses hops grown in Bemboka, so it’s a true South Coast beer!
