The Story
Our version of this venerable old (alt) German beer style is both complex and highly drinkable. It expresses all key elements of a beer simultaneously: a generous addition of crystal malt gives ample body to balance the assertive hop bitterness, while German ale yeast presents a hint of fruit that is accentuated by a generous addition of Spalt Select in the whirlpool and a touch in dry hop.
